Ian Rowe

With twenty years of experience in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean working with governments, civil society organizations and United Nations organs on humanitarian response, peace and security and community led socio-economic recovery, Ian brings an extensive international affairs background and a skillset specific to managing aid, development and state building programs.
He’s worked as staff and consultant with various United Nations agencies (UNESCO, UNDP, UNICEF, UNDPKO and the Secretariat) in Kenya, Somalia, Burundi and Bolivia; held senior management positions with UN peacekeeping missions in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Haiti; served as an expert panel member on the United Nations Panel of Experts on the Sudan; and as Executive Director for an international non-profit redressing socio-economic, human rights and policy challenges in the Global South.
