Annual and Special Meeting of the Members 2023 (March 27, 2024)

ELECTION

List of Directors:

CAIDP by-laws require that there be a minimum of 11 and a maximum of 19 Directors elected to the Board from the Membership. Directors are elected for a two-year term, with half of the Board retiring every year.

The following Directors, elected for a two-year term at the last AGM will continue in office over the next year:

  1. Chris Enns, University of Calgary, Calgary, Alberta
  2. Christian Novak, FMA - Frontier Markets Advisors Inc., Montréal, Québec
  3. Kendra Toby, Alinea International, Gatineau, Quebec
  4. Pernille Fischer Boulter, Kisserup International Trade Roots, Inc., Halifax, Nova Scotia
  5. Silas Mvulirwenande, Universalia, West Mount, Quebec
  6. Evan Due, Surrey, School of Public Policy and Global Affairs, UBC, British Columbia

The following Directors, having completed a two year term or for personal reasons are stepping down from the Board:   

  1. Jean-Joseph Bellamy, Consultant, Ottawa, Ontario
  2. Pamela Branch, Project Services International, Ottawa, Ontario
  3. Samira Saif, Consultant, Ottawa, Ontario
  4. Jane Jamieson, Executive Advisor, Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT), Senior Associate, Project Services International (PSI), Board Member, Springtec Enerji, Turkey and Perth, Ontario
  5. Brianna Parent Long, VIDEA, Ottawa, Ontario

There is nothing in the By-Laws precluding Board Members from running for re-election.

The following Directors, elected to a two year term at the 2021 Annual General Meeting of the Members have completed their terms and are running for re-election:

  1. Ivo Balinov, Parliamentary Centre, Ottawa, Ontario
  2. Noel Millson, Independent Consultant, Guelph, Ontario
  3. David Comerford, CLIC, Ottawa, Ontario

Members of CAIDP are encouraged to nominate themselves or others for election to the Board of Director(s). The following members have agreed to stand for the Board of Directors for 2024-25:

  1. Timothy James Hodges, Institute for the Study of International Development, McGill University, Ottawa, Ontario
  2. Vicki Campbell, Cowater International, Ottawa, Ontario
  3. Bart Edes, Professor of Practice, McGill University’s Institute for the Study of International Development; and Distinguished Fellow, Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada
  4. Grace Folts, MEDA, Waterloo, Ontario
  5. W. Paul Rowland, Environment Next, Ottawa, Ontario
  6. Abbas Sumar, Sumar + Associates Ltd., St. Catharines, Ontario 

CAIDP encourages Board nominations from across the country. In order to allow all members equal opportunity to review and vote nominations close one week prior to the election.
