About

Pamela Branch is one of the founders of Project Services International (PSI), a Canadian international development consulting firm, incorporated in 1990. She acts as the managing director for PSI.

She has over 25 year of professional experience in the field of international development, including overseas experience in 30 countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe, Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.  Her clients come from the public sector, private sector, development agencies, international financial institutions and non-profit organizations from around the world and include the Aga Khan Foundation, Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), East African Community, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, International Institute for Democracy and Development, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, Parliamentary Centre Canada and the United Nations Development Programme.

Ms. Branch has worked on all aspects of performance review and measurement, including internally as a project manager, and as an external monitor, evaluator, auditor and reviewer.  She has led teams of up to five people on evaluations and many of her assignments included multi-country and regional programming.

Her consulting practice reflects her commitment to economic growth and governance as key inputs to development, and much of her work in institutional and capacity development is to promote those aims. With degrees in accounting and economics, she has developed solid international experience in private sector development, including three years in Ghana managing a technology transfer project to support small scale industry with 10 offices and 300 staff nationwide.  She has assessed needs at the firm level for improving operations including technology needs; managed a micro-finance portfolio worth about $1 million annually including developing hire purchase and project financing facilities, and reviewed the impact of programming on the enabling environment.

Pamela Branch received a Certificate (with Distinction) from World Bank Group’s MOOC on Financing for Development offered by Coursera from November 16 to December 18 2015.
