The SecDev Foundation (SDF) works globally to strengthen the digital resilience of vulnerable communities and organizations, with a special focus on women, youth and civil society groups in difficult operational contexts. We are looking for a highly capable Deputy Director, Operations to lead the management of SDF day-to-day operations, institutional functioning, program staff. The responsibility is ‘enterprise wide.’ The Deputy Director Operations assumes line management of Project Managers, supporting them to excel at team, workplan and budget management, and all other operational aspects of program delivery, including their own well-being. The Deputy Director leads the Foundation's operational excellence with respect to policies, processes and workflows, to enable our talented staff to deliver high quality programs effectively and efficiently, including in very challenging operational environments. Currently the position also assumes top-level oversight of human resource policies and procedures. And, as a key member of the Executive Team, the Deputy Director will also work to ensure the financial health of the organization, from ensuring the excellence of project-level budget management through to contributing to the overall organizational budget management effort.
The Deputy Director reports to the Executive Director, effectively functioning as the chief operating officer for the Foundation.
