MONITORING & REPORTING OFFICER

CONTEXT

Cowater International Inc. will implement an upcoming project WEPP Women Empowerment and Political Participation that aims to increase the political participation and enjoyment of rights by women, particularly young and marginalised women and those at-risk, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Peshawar
Reports to: Team Leader
Inputs: Initial contract will be for 1 year with the possibility of extension based on performance.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design reporting and monitoring formats/tools.
  • Provide assistance in preparation of quarterly and annual work plans.
  • Contribute to project reporting by consolidating data regarding progress toward project indicators and against the baseline.
  • Support the team leader to prepare program and donor reports (Quarterly and Annual reports) in compliance with internal project requirements and any relevant external donor requirements.
  • Work with the GE advisor and other technical experts to identify and develop case studies.
  • Support the implementation of research for the improvement of the project.
  • Collate, manage and analyse project data.
  • Assist in putting together the Monitoring and Evaluation guidelines based on the baseline study results and ensure their consistent implementation.
  • Assist in designing the framework for the process monitoring of project activities based on the annual work plan and budget.
  • Compile and review monitoring reports, identifying the causes of potential bottlenecks in project implementation.
  • Assist in guiding the process for identifying the key performance questions/indicators and parameters for monitoring project performance and comparing it to targets.
  • Support mid- and end-line studies to demonstrate progress resulting from the project.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Masters in relevant field (development studies, international development, economics).
  • Minimum five years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience designing Monitoring and Evaluation frameworks, plans and tools.
  • Experience working on donor-funded projects.
  • Capable of working individually and as part of a team.
  • Capable of building and managing a database.
  • Effective communication and decision-making skills are essential.
  • Fluency in English, Pashto and Urdu.

Place of assignment will be Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
