Brief Description

Cowater is currently recruiting a Procurement Training Specialist for an upcoming project to Establish a National Procurement Institute in Afghanistan. Candidates must be fluent in English.The successful candidate will be based in Kabul, Afghanistan for a term of 1 year.

Duties and Tasks will include:

a) Conducting Training Needs Assessments and developing an educational program

b) Delivering a procurement training curriculum

c) Developing training modules and case studies using real life cases

d) Developing a monitoring and evaluation framework to measure the efficiency of the training

Required Qualifications:

  • Professional certification/qualification in Procurement
  • At least ten years of post-qualification experience directly relevant to procurement
  • Familiarity with World Bank or other donor procurement procedures
  • At Least 5 years’ experience of conducting training in supply chain/ Procurement preferably with international experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Fluent in Dari and/or Pashto
