Senior Program Manager- Gender 
The Senior Program Manager- Gender will have primary responsibility for providing leadership and support to MEDA’s gender initiatives, as well as developing strategies; delivering training; providing technical assistance and developing resources/tools. This position provides support to the international projects and staff to mainstream and integrate standardized gender programming policies, strategies and interventions. The position may also provide program related support to other areas within MEDA as required. International travel is a requirement for approximately 90-100 days per year. Ideally, this position will be based in Waterloo, Ontario Canada, however other locations for a highly experienced candidate may be considered. The ideal start date for this fulltime permanent position is September 2016. 

Qualifications:
- University degree, ideally at a Masters’ level in international development, economic development, gender studies, or related field 
- Proven track record of at least five (5) years’ experience in international and/or economic development
- Demonstrated technical expertise and experience in measurement and evaluation and gender programming including analysis/assessment, developing/implementing strategies, developing tools and conducting training. 
- Experience with/knowledge of innovative impact assessment approaches such as randomized control trials, rapid assessment, participatory evaluation, etc. 
- Strong team building, relational, interpersonal and communication abilities and skills 
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to work in and with a wide range of cultures and in varying international locales 
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fluid and dynamic environment and to adopt to new challenges
- Proficiency in a foreign language is an asset
